AppDelete has become an essential part of my Mac arsenal. I install a lot of apps and without it my Mac would be full of the cruft left over when you just drag an app into the trash. I also use it to identify those pesky plists that seem to get corrupted sometimes, makes it easy to find and nuke them. Fantastic software. AppDelete 4.3.3 - Uninstall your unwanted apps and eliminate associated files. Download the latest versions of the best Mac apps at safe and trusted MacUpdate.

Reggie Ashworth has released AppDelete 4.2.2 (http://tinyurl.com/ngg3ugq), an update to his application deletion utility for Mac OS X.

Via drag and drop, the software will uninstall just about anything along with all of its associated items. You can drag any item that can be uninstalled onto AppDelete: applications, widgets, preference panes, plugins, screensavers, etc.

Version 4.2.2 has been optimized for OS X Yosemite (though it's still backwards compatible with Lion/Mountain Lion/Mavericks). It has a refreshed user interface, improved search algorithm, and the ability to to copy/paste from the log.

AppDelete 4.2.2 requires OS X Version 10.7 Lion or later. It costs US$7.99 for a single user license. Upgrades from version 2/AppDelete Lite are $3.99. A demo is available. Version 3 licenses without a serial number are also eligible for the upgrade.

AppDelete deletes the system files linked to the applications that you send to the Recycle Bin. Drag and drop any program on the icon you can see in AppDelete to the left. It will automatically start working.
If you want to view the files that AppDelete was able to find and delete, click on the Log button of the program. The register includes the files that have been deleted and their location.
AppTrap and AppZapper are two other tools that carry out the same action. The first one is free and automatically carries out the removal(the program doesn't have to be opened). The second one, AppZapper, is a shareware version and is limited to five uses.
Note
For Mac OS X 10.3 or higher.
